A reflection

Scripture's picture of guidance is a lamp for the feet, not a floodlight down the road. That is frustrating when you want the whole map, but it is honest about how life is actually walked. Direction usually comes step by step, in company with wise people, in unhurried prayer, and often in hindsight. Proverbs invites us to trust rather than to figure everything out, which is a relief for anyone tired of analysing. If you are at a crossroads, you can ask plainly for wisdom; James says it is given generously and without scolding. Take the light you have and take the next step.
