Healing

For bodies, hearts, and the slow work of mending.

A reflection

Healing in Scripture is wide: bodies restored, hearts bound up, communities made whole again. It is also often slow. The same God who heals instantly in one story sustains someone through years in another, and both are held with tenderness. If you are waiting, that waiting is not evidence of being forgotten. The Psalmist speaks of God binding up wounds — the language of careful hands, not quick fixes. Bring what hurts, whether you can name it or not. Ask plainly. And let others carry some of it with you; that has always been part of how healing works.
