Reflection

The disciples were not spared the storm; they were accompanied through it. Jesus was asleep in the boat, which they took as indifference and He seemed to take as trust. Peace in chaos is not the absence of wind. It is the presence of Someone in the boat with you, unhurried by what is frightening you.

A short prayer

Lord, quiet what I cannot quiet. Be in the boat with me today.
